player look slim for yet another year, with very few Tigers projected to be drafted.
Now if they were to sign Hunter Renfrow, I may have to ease up on them a bit.

Man, this post right here is why I care not for nfl! No hometown loyalty for any team or player. It's money and talent and in that order. Same with all other pro sports. Loved nfl, NBA, mlb when I was younger but then I see strikes and have to learn new players every week. Forget that mess. Give me clemson or give me nothing.

Also why should NFL have any affiliation or allegiance to a certain college program? They’re literally trying to get the best players they they think will mold well for their team….

That they haven't drafted a single Clemson player in 30 years is no accident!

How many other NFL teams haven't drafted at least one Tiger in 30 years?

That would make sense except Clemson has been one of the premier college programs for the last 15 years, and still zero picks. That's a long run of being very good, producing a lot of pros, and still none taken. Doesn't bother me though; I'm a Falcons fan when it comes to the pros.

There was no “home town” team then. And don’t give me Falcons or Redskins.
If I picked my sports teams by geography, I would be a SCSU Bulldog (which is a secondary rooting interest for me), but I would also be a Coot instead of a Tiger. I will stick with making my own choices, and not being obligated by my location.

The Panthers played their first season in Death Valley in 1995. They are in Charlotte, about two hours from Clemson. They used to camp at Wofford, about 60 miles from Clemson.
We all know they are looking for the best players to fit their needs, but in 30 years, they should have accidently drafted a Clemson player. They've drafted a bunch of coots; they drafted one last year in the first round.
Their best opportunity seemed to be when they were drafting 7th in 2020 and Isaiah Simmons was available, which would have been a good replacement for Luke Kuechly who had just retired. But they passed on him and Arizona got him with the 8th pick. It's almost like they do it on purpose.

They needed a dominant DT and got one in Derrick Brown. Simmons is not a true LB. Didn’t fit their system.

now taking a RB with the #7 overall in an earlier draft when they selected CMC was the wrong pick...simply bc of position-

I have seen both Carter and Mickens be projected. Carter was a few months back Mickens yesterday. They are my team no matter what. Now if we drafted that coot who quit on them that early last night I was burning all of my stuff and becoming a Washington fan.

I don’t pull for the panthers anymore since letting go of CMC.. I pull for players now, no particular team. The players don’t have to be Clemson either. Hopefully the panthers make some good picks this year and put something together. Even though he’s a gamecock Xavier Legette is a hometown kid that I’ve watched since he was 7. Would love to see him be on a winning team.

Never been a Panthers fan. I was around when the Falcons were the closest pro team and my heart belongs to them. Even though I knew Jerry Richardson pretty well I couldn’t jump ship. I’m just not wired like that. Cam Newton didn’t help either.
