Never imagined an unseeable virus would change football & politics, Forever!

Saying..
college sports in general (due to new rules, more control by the athletes & diminishing funds)..
and politically with what people are needing from their national/state/local governments in the form of smartness, real-time knowledge, promptness of carrying out solutions (like distributing $ and health care & products)..
Both, sports & politics, will change in our new world after COVID-19 has passed.
College sports (football particularly) may see less support in the crazy fan aspect due to less funds & realization that there are more important things in life..
while more people may be voting the Democratic ticket so to adhere to a Socialist taunted safety net. What do you think?

Five years from now it will be as if COVID-19 never happened

Once the crisis is over folks will go back to supporting the agendas they had politically / societally in the first place.
There might be some additional funding for public health infrastructure over the next few years but five years from now those programs will be cut.
You might see more taxes to pay for all the COVID-19 bailouts but most likely you will not.

Trump will win re-election if he can stop talking. That being said, he won’t.

Yep, I was just thinking about injecting some Lysol to keep me safe from covid 19. I don't have a whole lot of clorox, and I need that for cleaning the toilets and sinks. Being diabetic and having a 1000 needles on hand, I may help my neighbors out with injecting some Lysol, but they will have to bring their own Lysol

just don't share the needles,or at the very least save some chlorox to soak them in.otherwise you might be dealing with something a whole lot worse that covid19.

I sure don't need a warning about the needle share thingy bc my wife orders if I need them or not. I ask her one day, I said baby, when I die what are you going to with all those dang needles that I'll never get a chance to use before I'm dead and gone. She said, I'll donate whatever is left to other people with diabetes that are poorer than we are, and I said well bless your heart, but don't order anymore bc you have about 3-4 year surplus stacked in the closet. The UPS man hasn't brought any in a while now, and I still have cases of them

So if Trump stops talking and Biden stops talking, who wins?
If they were to both shut up don't we all win?

Yep I agree, and we haven't seen anything yet. Opening everything back up before the front line folks have had a chance to stock up and resupply, and our governments H&11 bent on opening up a new can of worms on them before they have had a chance to just catch a deep breath of clean air, with more and more positive cases start back filling the hospital beds with sickness and death with no where to put bodies. I fear those heroic front line folks will have had enough and just start walking away from their jobs and do their best to just take care of their own. If they do that, on top of the pandemic, we will have to fight for our lives just to keep what little our families do have bc there will be people breaking down doors coming in our homes to take what we may, or may not have even if it means murdering for it. The hard core will be the survivors just as it is in the animal world. It can happen, and the ones that don't believe that it can, they will be the ones that will be the first to Perish!!!! Folks, this pandemic could very easily turn into all out panic for survival, yes, it is very possible!!! And I'm going first thing in the morning to resupply my ammo and addinng a few hundred rounds of 22 long rifle hollow points bc I only have two 50 round boxes of those, and a 22 rifle is a great squirrel, rabbit, and chicken gun!!! Our two 40 cals for our personal protection

I hope people will build their own safety nets by saving and investing more of their money. All this government aid is basically telling our kids if you fail you don’t have to keep trying the government will take care of you. It takes away the incentive to try and be successful. Instead of being so materialistic maybe society should focus on saving some of that money for the future. Before we allow the United States to become a socialist society I pray people will look at socialist countries.
As far as sports IMO coaches and players make to much money. And now college players will not only get scholarships but money for likeness and whatever else they are going to be paid for. College football attendance has dropped at most every level. So I expect that to continue because of the economic hardships were are currently facing. Same for pro sports to.

I wish I could answer that question, but to be as absolutely honest as a man can be to another, if it meant saving one more persons life not to have FB or any sport this year or next, I would say no sports.
But they do have the test that can tell whether someone is positive or not in just a few minutes. So why not test all the coaches, players, and whoever else needed to put the games on TV and go with it. Testing that many people every week for 15 weeks, the test could probably be got really cheap.
Allow in half of what a stadium holds with fans. All fans must wear all the proper protection, and any fan caught by the camera's or the security not wearing all their protection at any time while in the stadium, fine them not a dime less than $1000. bucks or a week in jail, and no if, ands, or buts about it, either or.
I think that a safe way to keep things going forward can be worked out, but the penalty for anyone regardless of who they are, who they are kin to, or who their friends are, if caught going against grain of everyone's safety, there has to be a no excuse firm and final price to be paid for anyone breaking the chain of safety, and spot the dang ball!!!

Once the antibody tests are more widespread, we will see this was all for nothing. I’m sorry if you know someone that has died, because that is a tragedy. Tragedies happen by the thousands everyday, we just don’t look at them through a microscope.
All I know is that if football is played this year, I don’t want to see any of you crybabies there with your ridiculous masks and false sense of enlightenment. At least I’ll have room to breath and shout the woo-hoo with perfectly healthy lungs.

just shows how many sheep there are in this country and it is very sad. it took the msm less than a month to instill fear in a very large percentage of our people. i still say that the pussification of america started many years ago when every kid was given a participation trophy. scoff if you will
