Any other comparison is flawed. As far as his tenure at Clemson goes, he performed better than expected this season. Why would we replace a guy who did better than expected? Anyone who doesn’t understand this just isn’t being honest with themselves. Surely you see this, right?

Better than last year. Not better than year one. Nor better than year 2. Both seasons we hosted. Since, he's been on a downward trajectory, culminating into last year's disaster. So, on the curve, he's still way below his mean average. Therefore this year so far has been below average.
Now, if you're talking about some pundit spithead who predicted us to finish 7th in our division... Then I guess we outperform by 6th finish.
And btw - Monte said pitching and our bullpen were our strengths this year. His prediction, not mine. We've also been extremely fortunate to not have injuries.

Winning brings fan support. No problems with men’s and women’s soccer. No problem with softball attendance. Football attendance great evening though we can watch at home.
New staff? Facilities? Facilities are great - not sure about staff.
Recruiting is ridiculously difficult in baseball with draft. That’s a fact.
IPTAY, NIL and athletics fundraising is tricky. Our coaches need to get comfortable with current resources or less. They need to excel in their sport, motivating this generation of athlete and recruit like crazy.
Crazy way to make a living - but most of us worked in tough situations and we were expected to be at top of our profession and didn’t make the money Monte brings.

better facilities. Littlejohn's been redone and new assistants have been brought in but our basketball program hasn't improved to speak of.
What makes you think Monte will do any better? That's like the government throwing more money at schools only to see that test scores, etc. don't improve.
Monte just doesn't have what it takes to recruit well.

I hear you on the keyboard warriors that would cower if they ever had to face someone they've talked crap about. However, one of the main purposes of a sports message board is to talk about sports, and that means both sides, the good and the bad. People in these positions should expect criticism. Heck they deal with stupidity from the actual media almost daily.

The worst is they are coached to just swing for the fences . Just close your eyes and swing as hard as you can, doesn’t matter if it bounces up there . It drives me nuts at as many pitches we swing at that land 2 feet from the plate .
