Moment of respect for Lattimore
Nov 6, 2014, 1:31 PM

I know he was a chicken, but he was a daxn good player and seems to be a good kid also. He's a sobering reminder that you can do everything right and still get screwed in the end. That second injury was the most devastating knee injury I've seen, and his attempts at a comeback were nothing short of heroic. He has my deepest respect. Here's hoping that he can find a way back to football in some capacity.

Enough Lattimore BS

He didnt do everything right...
1- He picked the coots
2- He 5 bombed a young child
I dont hate him, Im just not anywhere close to giving him a memorial like everyone else wants to.
Just out of curiosity, did he get his degree?

Hard to say he got screwed with a tax free $1.7 million insurance policy. Not to mention the 49ners paid him in addition to his signing bonus (coots probably did as well). Sucks he can no longer play, but he made out alright.

Things like this are above the rivalry and vitriol that occurs routinely. I will never pull for the Coots, I will never cheer them, I will never be satisfied with enough L's in their column. However, I do have respect for some individuals that played there, and Lattimore is at the top of that list.

How about Chad Diehl, Nick & JJ, I don't recall anyone making a big deal with the end of their playing careers? I respect the kid and wish him well, but enough is enough!!!!

Seriously...move on! I get it..he was a good guy and i realize that is rare at that school but was he really deserving of all the off field attention he got? I'm sure a lot of the Clemson players and athletes from other schools that got hurt are "good guys" too. Seems to me that it must be really that rare at scu for a good guy to come along that they would make that kind of fuss over him.
