I get it that is the nature of college football today. It what it is. The game has changed from what it was a few short years ago and not enjoyable for me. Maybe next year will bring some semblance of sanity but I fear the unintended consequences. I still donate to Clemson and will be forever loyal. FYI, my new interest are Penguin/Hurricanes hockey, curling, beach volleyball and Texas Holdem. No more football.

I think he is talking about revenue share. But it will take more than that to make a difference.

That is just untrue. The house settlement will place “fair market value” on NIL opportunities which will be overseen by a third party. The settlement will allow AD’s to distribute 21.5 million to their programs however they see fit. Clemson will probably put 80% of that towards football, if not 85%. Then all NIL opportunities will be overseen to ensure fair market value, preventing things like Michigan being able to give 11 million to Underwood simply bc Michigan alumnus Dave Portnoy owns barstool.
It will most definitely level out the field, and I think some players we’ve missed on would have come to Clemson if money was equal elsewhere.

None of what you said will happen.
You can’t put a cap on what people can earn or make in a free society. That’s been ruled on.
People will find loopholes and exploit them just as they have from the initial creation of the portal and NIL.
It will change absolutely nothing. Everyone will have revenue sharing but the schools with the money will still go over the top for NIL deals to ensure they get the top prospects just as it’s been for the last 4/5 years.
It changes absolutely NOTHING for Clemson.

Those third-party payments must be fair market value payments for a legitimate business purpose and not used for pay-for-play (e.g., merely an inducement to enroll or remain at a particular institution.) Legitimate third-party NIL payments will not count towards the revenue share cap and will be reviewed by an independent clearing house to determine compliance with the fair market value rules. This will be a fundamental shift in the current NIL landscape where there is currently no legitimate purpose / fair market value requirement. These rules are in the process of being written.“

Swinney will use this money to retain players, not to pay unproven high school players. Mark it down, you will not see us magically jump back into the top 5 of recruiting. Dabo doesn't believe it's right, so he is not gonna do it. I mean after all, he doesn't report to anyone at Clemson anyway. It's his world down there and everyone just allows it to continue.
