Curious why you don't think he'll fit in at VT.
I think he understands what it takes to win at least 9-10 regular season games and position yourself for the CFP. I don't see him as a person that brings a lot of controversy to the institution he works for. Overall seems like a solid candidate with a decent track record.
If VT is looking for an experienced head coach, not sure they'll find anyone better this cycle.
I wonder about the staff he'll put together; I can't imagine any top talent on that staff would make a lateral move (job title) to follow him to the ACC. He may be able to snag an assistant or two and promote them to coordinators.

I’m sure the guy was almost never denied a request at Penn State to put at his disposal everything he needed to win, he ain’t getting that at Va.tech. Their financials ain’t good according earlier articles.

I’m sure the guy was almost never denied a request at Penn State to put at his disposal everything he needed to win, he ain’t getting that at Va.tech. Their financials ain’t good according earlier articles.

If Tech and State become can get to 9-10 wins annually and we turn it around it would be a competitive conference again

Yeah I am no buying all this hoopla over this new budget. Where they #### is the money coming from? Their fan base doesnt contribute, never has. Why do they think all of a sudden they will generate all this extra money?

VT is an excellent fit for Franklin. The campus, town, and surrounding area is almost like living in Happy Valley, Pa. VT campus is beautiful, has lots of open spaces. Blacksburg is a small college town nestled in a mountain valley. The weather is really nice with 4 seasons and some snow. A very desirable place to live and raise a family or grandchildren.
