I saw where someone had started a post regarding the mess Limestone is in. It’s my alma mater. My great-grandma, grandma, mother, and I graduated from LC and my heart is broken over this mess. From what I heard, money earmarked for academic upgrades were spent on athletics. Big time donors are livid and not much hope of being bailed out.

I also graduated from Limestone.
30 mil in debt leaves little doubt what the outcome will be.
I think I read somewhere that they had 1000 students and 300 faculty members. If so, that would be part of the problem.

Photo one year when my TEAM (LERA) competed at Limestone in the 5K/10K foot races.
I have done that race a dozen times, last time at 70, this was about at age 50.
"In the day" many Limestone girls were at Clemson for the "dance week ends" and concerts.
I have dated many as my best friend was a student there.

It’s tough! My nephew is a freshman there and was on a wrestling scholarship and has lost it! Don’t know where he wants to go now!

Had a friend from Gaffney while I was at Clemson. Anyway, I went to Gaffney over the summer once and went over to Limestone and jumped in rock quarry. Looked like a pretty school. That's a shame that it's done. What will become of that property?

I got my Bachelor's Degree from Limestone. It is just sad how things have gone. When I was there, we only had men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's soccer, men's golf and women's softball.
It was a very small school that provided a solid education for mostly teachers and business degrees. Athletics was not the main focus back then

I agree, when I was there, there was no mention of it being a Christian school other than a small scholarship provided by one of two denominations.
