Well, Vandy is in the SEC, so that HAD to be a juge, high quality win for them.

Those are worth at least 1.5 wins vs any other conference foe.

We aren’t going anywhere until there is a significant reorganization involving more than just us.

But, they are not the “9th best” team in the country, just as Clemson isn’t the “15th best” team in the country. It is based on the ridiculousness of the AP Poll. No one knows who the ten best teams in the nation are at this moment. One might could accurately guess the Top 2 or 3, maybe, but top ten? At this point? No way. Sure, it looks cool, and it makes a fan, like me, feel good, but it means nothing. I can’t remember if it were Coach Swinney or a television pundit, but I’ve heard one of them say that trams should not be ranked until November 1st, kinda the way the CFP has done it the last ten years. That’s right, in my opinion.

Where I will concede something that I think you’re implying is the influence of the “polls.” After watching the CFP committee do their thing since 2014, I have no doubt they are HEAVILY influenced by the polls and TV. If they ever truly wanted to make the college football postseason valuable, college football would tacitly state that it will no longer recognize, accept, or have any association with the AP, AFCA, or any mass media declared “poll.” Furthermore, no longer will D-1A college football accept any of those groups’ trophies, lists, or opinions based on “eye tests.” Lastly, it should also be issued that no school would be allowed to officially recognize (i.e. hang any banners, place official signage, etc., any of those groups’ trophies or titles after whatever year the CFP group decided to enact such action.

Clemson is clearly a top 10 or 15 team

Thats your opinion.

One could argue we are not because we got killed by the one good team we faced, and have only beaten cupcakes. The polls this early are a crapshoot, and luckily we have the whole season to see who is actually good and who is not.

Because we play a high school schedule and everyone outside of Clemson laughs about it. Putrid. Louisville is getting upset right now too. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Yet your team sucks and has an average record against the ACC. (125-122-6). We won’t mention their record vs Clemson.😂😂, but it is pathetic to say the least Van.

Bama said hello.

There's probably not a non big 10 team in the country that wouldn't jump at the chance to join the SEC.

Ranked 9th because they were good last year

Mizzou is ranked #9 because they finished last year 11-2, ranked 8th, and brought back a lot of players. Clearly they didn't replace their losses very well.
