Kids at Baseball & the MF word between O and N

Not exactly family friendly to have kids at the baseball game and repeatedly hear CLEMSO mother f’n N. Over and over. Felt like I’m up north at a big city NFL game instead of a college event at Clemson. The kids play area in the SRO is right beneath Jervey where most of the chants start.
While my kids had fun, I’m not sure I want to take them back and hear CLEMSON said this way by the students/younger fans. I understand Bakich wants a rowdier crowd and there is alcohol. But that is not the R rated environment, I want my young kids around. The MF word is heard clearly around DKS, especially where kids play most.
I may be the only one. Anyone else have thoughts?

Generally, a film with more than one or two "F-bombs" (the word "####") will likely be rated R by the Motion Picture Association (MPA). Even a single use of the word in a sexual context can also trigger an R rating. While some films with two or more "F-bombs" have been granted PG-13 ratings, the general rule is that overuse or sexualization of the word will result in an R.

I think you may be onto the root of the problem. Modern media has made the use of that type of language an everyday thing. The parents use the words around their kids and also watch R rated movies as a family. Add to that uncontrolled access to the internet and foul language becomes socially accepted by many.

VERY disrespectful.
It's a battle as a parent. Your young kids hear that word enough and so they walk into their first grade class and say "Another f**ing day in paradise!". And then you have to leave work to come talk to the principal.

Real talk: words have consequences and the facts are MOST fights start with words. Making a counter claim is just ignorant. I’m like most of the older people on this site; I won’t say anything on here I wouldn’t say to your face. A clemson man needs no introduction. Clemson people show respect. We will also defend our families. There’s no place for language like that at any public event. Defending the use of f bombs around children speaks volumes about your character or lack thereof.

I’m fortunate that our football seats in the North Stands are far enough away that we don’t hear the MF N! Audibly from the student section.
I get that I’m an older guy. Obviously, if I’m a Lester Brown fan. No doubt college kids are going to be college kids. IMO it’s crude and cringeworthy. When young kids see it’s acceptable/commonplace at Clemson, they ask why can’t I use it everywhere.

Being a 1989 Graduate, I too dislike the M...F...N and cringe when I hear it, especially when children are nearby. I just hope these students that are saying it get season tickets near the student section 5-10 years from now and have little children of their own. I was young and dumb (and probably drunk) at a few football games in my college years but always tried to keep it clean and may have let one F-bomb fly here and their, but never pre-plane like they do today.

I don't think anyone here expects college students not to behave like college students, but we do expect Clemson sports to largely be a family friendly environment and where people - largely - behave with class. For individuals here and there to be crude is one thing. For an entire section to be organized about being crude is, as another poster said, far more cootish than Clemson.
I let the F word fly far more than I like, as well as other words - both now in my mid-50s and back then in college. But always try to show discretion around groups of people, especially families. It's not difficult. Just takes a little consideration.
Clemson and class should be synonymous, overall.
We can do better. Clemson is better.

Im sort of with you. Even though one or two may slip out in a moment it shouldn't lol. But if you're with me at a bar, or just hanging around me at home, you better not have sensitive ears. Ill censor myself around kids, but I feel no need to around a grown ### adult. Heck, my boss is a preacher and I know for a fact he's heard me drop a few working on something lol.
But as far as doing it with the cadence count, I just see it as cringy. obviously the word itself doesn't bother me, I just think its stupid.

No matter the kids What about the elderly?
My old ears have heard some cussin' over the years. Sometimes it fits (like in The Big Lebowski), and some places it does not fit (like on Tnet).
Some folks have less vocabulary to communicate with and cuss more. Some folks cuss a lot to make others think they are cool or tuff or ? Most who cuss often seem to be insecure and believe that adds something to their conversational talents.
I cuss, but not often, and not in normal conversation as why would I?

I can understand and feel for OPs frustration when bringing kids to the game but it is just the world we live in 2025. It would be nice for people to be more aware of their surroundings, but it is double sided - you should be aware of your surroundings as a parent bringing your children to a game. As a friendly reminded the song "WAP" was billboard number 1 in August 2020. Poor language at games isn't a new thing either, I remember the chant "fffffffffff the georgia bulllldoggs!" from one of my first clemson football games

Yep, it's been a growing problem—especially noticeable at football games. It seems to be a side effect of the Gen Z narcissistic mindset, where they feel entitled to act however they want in the moment, assuming it's everyone else's responsibility to deal with the consequences.
I wish it would die a quick death
