The basketball program. That’s not a knock on our current players. I wish them nothing but the best! But overall we have very very low expectations and that’s exactly why Brownell is still coaching here.
It’s been 14 years. 1 4 years. Let that soak in.

Serious is the right word. I totally get what you are trying to say but if you are comparing Lee to Bakich, in Lee's last year, we swept South Carolina and started 14-0 before the bottom fell out. If you are trying to compare baseball and basketball, there is no comparison because the difference in recruiting is just miles apart. This year we have 23 players from SC on the roster and we have probably not had 23 players on the basketball roster in the last 20 years. Nice try but no sale.

What makes Clemson attractive to recruits in a good number of sports could, should and would make Clemson basketball just as attractive if the administration cared about basketball. It’s the same Clemson for basketball as it is for baseball. The difference in recruiting falls on administration and coaching and nothing else.

Baseball and basketball are two entirely different games. One of the differences is… baseball has NO time clock. This will confuse some of the tnet experts but it is a reality.

I am as pro fire Brownell as it gets but “SLOW” down on Bakich turning the program around. Monte won the ACC and lost in regional as a host in year one. Monte also owned SC while he was here. I’ll say Bakich has turned us around when we are back in Omaha.

u couldn’t tell that to several on here before he was fired, even though I’m not sure Clemson baseball might have possibly been the worst program fundamentals wise and poorly coached team in the ACC

If you are comparing this team to the end of Monte then yeah we have improved for sure but I also stand by what I say. Monte turned us around from where Leggett left us. Like I said I’ll be sold when we are back in Omaha.

we need to wait until the end of this season to assess that

This team still has a great chance to finish in the top 4 in the ACC, as well as a good shot at winning the ACC tournament. They're virtually guaranteed to at least make the NCAA tournament. 1 more win in the regular season would secure a better than .500 finish in conference play. They should have a good chance to win multiple games in the NCAA tournament as well.

Let the season play out for both before the truth is known. Let's hope basketball makes the tournament and wins a few games. Let's hope the baseball team can make the playoffs and get out of the first round. As of today both of them can have great seasons. I do like the direction of the baseball team but the season is long.
