Assuming something to do with broken handshake promises of being the HC in waiting after he was named interim HC at Wisconsin...Wisconsin hired Luke Fickell instead and Leonhard left for the NFL

Got the interim job after the HC was fired, went 4-3 and he was let go. Took a year off for hip surgery and is now leading the secondary of the #5 defense in the NFL, the Denver Broncos. The dude is legit and the absolute best case scenario if we could get him.
