The winner in 1966 … Addison to Jackson (65 yards?) came with 3:49 to play … so I rate yesterday’s better than that.

There are many late game and last minute winners that are short yardage … (like at NCState - 1968) but being short yardage I consider yesterday’s better than that specific one … and better than any others I can recall.

Even the 13-9 winner in Columbia about 2005 was a very short play so yesterday’s rates better than that.

OK … old guy here asking for some memory help. The criteria:

timeouts to play with. 1:16 and NO timeouts was pretty doggone impressive. Ain't gonna lie, I had already ticketed us for the Mayo Boy Bowl before that 50 yard gallop. We may yet wind up there, but winning out should get us something better.
