Perhaps Porkchop was good..... What is it with all these firings that turn out to wonder if they were the correct moves. Streeter is another one for Riley that comes to mind.

There is no area where the defense has been better. None. Actually you could submit the opposite. Everyone has gotten worse.

That's not how the recruiting works. They don't just say well defensive coaches just recruit the defensive players and offensive coaches just recruit the offensive players.

huh? He has been here one season with 'no' say in coaches, S&C or players currently on the team. I could see the argument for Riley, however, Dabs gave him his staff as well.
This fiasco is all on ol' Dabs. How many more OC/DC hiring fails do we go through before someone realizes the dude at the top is failing to 'earn' the 11.5 million bucks a year?

Wes is miles better than Allen.We had some good performances under Wes and have zero under Allen.

Is this a serious question ? This defense is worst in ACC and the worst maybe we have ever seen in Clemson. It is surely the least talented and slowest we have seen maybe ever

at least Porkchop kept us in the game most of the time, especially through 3 quarters. TA's D immediately gets blown up! This year's defense is a lot worst and has gotten worse each game!

Comparing the defensive stats from last year to this year so far, it has been an improvement. Almost 40 yards less per game, and 3.9 points less per game.

Look at our last 4 coordinators. Streeter worse...Riley worse...Goodwin worse...Allen worse. Maybe. Maybe the issue isn't really who we are bringing IN but who is already here. It's Dabs program. He put all these pieces in place and wants them to run their parts how he wants it done. And then bring in your kids, friends, in laws to be assistant assistant coaches making good money to hold a tackling dummy. I mean geez if I were a stud receiver I know my thoughts are "how great it would be to play for Grisham and Swinneys little boy coaching me up on how to be a better player"

In what way is Riley's offense worse than Streeter? Have you actually looked at any stats? We are averaging double the points as with Streeter offense

Scheme wise, no. We replaced awful run defense with awful pass defense. It's the same players so that is that, but I just don't understand Allen not being able to put together some sort of scheme that would limit or cover us our talent deficiencies.

I think the tackling is better. The pass defense is much much worse. I actually thought we had the best man coverage secondary in America, based on personnel, before the season started. And I thought Aveion Terrell was the best man coverage DB in the country preseason.
Boy was I wrong.
