The latest projections have Clemson still as a top 8 national seed. Will Clemson need to win 2 of 3 to fsu to keep that top 8 seed? Or would series wins against Duke and Pittsburgh be enough?

Getting swept by FSU wouldn’t be the nail in the coffin, but wouldn’t be great.

Every now and then a great team needs an eye-opening loss to wake them up, and I'm hoping that is what last weekend was, and eye-opening moment and they come back at FSU blazing, then blast Coastal, then Duke and Pitt. Let's go Tigers, wake up and play your best ball of the season!!!

Need to sweep Pittsburgh NO IFS ANDS or BUTS ABOUT IT.Even though it is a away series,the Panthers are currently 2nd to last in 15th place in the conference standings at 6-15 in the ACC and 20-21 overall

It will depend on what happens with others in contention for top eight seeds as well. Winning the series might not absolutely necessary but getting swept would be a bad look. Momentum going into postseason factors in as well. If we don’t win this weekend, then need to dominate the last seven games and possibly go far in the ACC tournament to lock up top eight.

SEC teams don't have to be dominant at the end of the season to get in post season play, but ACC teams better be!!!

I don't know if it's a must win series, but it could be the straw that broke the camel back. I hope that our bats have some life in them bc this is a pretty serious series for our baseball team!!!

it is a must win series, we have already dropped below UGA in polls after the humiliation last weekend , barely hanging on to a top 8 seed, a series loss here and we are put of the conversation as a top 8 seed. This will send you to an away super matchup against an SEC team provided we win a regional. this weekend will show us if last weekend was just baseball or if we have been overrated all along. IF we still cant put the ball in play then FSU will smoke us and finish us off.

I don’t think we can afford to get swept again. The optics of that at this point in the season would be very damaging. Certainly can’t get run ruled again & I think the games must be competitive.

Unless we all of a sudden learn how to hit the ball since the NC State series then another sweep is likely and probably will get run ruled again . Some of us were criticized for pointing out this teams flaws for weeks now and now you can see why the concern was legitimate . This weekend will reveal how good or not this team is. True top 5/ top 10 team won’t get humiliated again this weekend . My fear is that we are nowhere close to a top 10 team and that we are about to get exposed again .

If FSU sweeps us then we will have lost 6 straight against ranked teams and possibly 7 if coastal beats us again . That will 100% drop us out of top 8 national seeding and even drop us to one of the lower regional hosts . This is a must win series !
