I posted this last night at 9PM on TigerNet tickets in the Wanted section for VA Tech game:
iSO 2 Premium seats- club level. Listed my cell phone number
At 4:45 this morning I got this: “Hello, I have 2 premium seats club level for sale. Are you still interested in buying?” Text came from 323-515-2651, which is an LA area code
I was a little suspicious based on the time of morning and the grammar, but I asked for section, seat, and price.
They responded: “$ 200 each. Section 101, Row L. they’re seated together. What’s your email address?”
Now, even more suspicious, I asked, “ Where did you get the tickets? From The Tiger Club?” ( there is no such thing a far as I know
They responded, “yes, how do you intend to pay?”
I responded, “ That’s interesting. There’s no such thing as Tiger Club”
This is obviously a scam, but I’m amazed that someone picked up my post buried deep in TigerNet where there are only a small handful of ads.

Had the same issue when trying to buy a parking pass for Lot 25 in the Fall ... was listed in Tigernet ... responded to the email, got a text from an LA number which set off alarm bells ... then asked for the connection to Clemson, said he lived in Aiken but kept the LA number from after graduation ... asked for his name and IPTAY number so I could verify and imagine that no response. Sent him a note letting him know local law enforcement would be made aware and ad was gone within a minute and a half.

we have pretty much eliminated scammers being able to post ads, so all they have left is the want ads, which require membership to view, so even that is hard for them as we block most of their registration attempts.
We use a phone number validator, which you can also use https://phonevalidator.com . scammers use google voice or other VOIP numbers 100% of the time, so we do not allow them anymore and you can use it if needed for want ad inquires. I ran the number and no surprise, it's google voice.
