They have all the leverage. When the house Vs NCAA passes, the NCAA will go bankrupt and fold shop. They can’t afford to pay $20 million per school. This is why the B1G and SEC are consolidating power. They will form D1, most others will be D2, everyone else D3. We may be on the outside looking in.

Thank the liberals. It was filed in the 9th circuit court with a VERY liberal judge. Funny enough, Wilken has BOTH House and NIL. She’s saying the NIL cannot be capped. While revenue sharing can. This opens the doors for $20 million dollar QB’s. The worst part is that she is legislating from the bench. There are no laws to govern this. Our only hope is the bill Tommy Tuberville is working on to stop her. He wants common sense guidelines like NIL deals must be for products endorsed. Not a bunch of boosters buying players. Fingers crossed.

This has more to do with contracts vs NIL. Making players contract employees solves the issue however, the BIG10 and SEC do not want this...at least yet. By refraining from placing caps on player pay those with deep pockets can keep the competition skewed in their favor. I hate to say it but college athletics needs to be severed from the colleges themselves. Student-athletes was always a little but of a joke, now it's just an understood fallacy. Players are a lower level professional chasing payday.

But first the SEC and Big has to be stopped in their tracks from stealing college FB as their own to do as they please with the playoff format. Stop them now before they can take it past the point of no return...

Who's going to stop them. They have all the bargaining chips and the deepest pockets. ESPN and Fox has too much money vested in not seeing them on TV. ACC and Big 12 are left battling for relevancy. Games like Clemson and LSU take on even more importance in competing for a title in a rigged system.

44-16 must NEVER happen again. So embarrassing. That was the last straw.

Clemson is 4-7 against SEC teams since that win over Bama six years ago. Lingering embarrassment may not be an issue.

It is obvious that the Big and SEC are the conferences pushing for the ridiculous 16 team play-off strictly so they can go to the format granting them 4 automatic qualifiers each. Hope nobody bites on that.

If a 16 team playoff comes then 3 from the SEC, 3 from the Big 10, 3 from the ACC, 3 from the Big12. 2 from the Power 5 and 2 at large. If not this then cap all schools on NIL monies at the same amount and let fairness reign.

A reasonable scenario but all the bargaining power lies with the Big10 and SEC. They're aren't going to agree to, nor allow that playoff construct. This is a power grab to strengthen their hold on College Football. Swofford gambled on Basketball and added brands that have brought the league down. The ACC missed the mark with leadership and Clemson is left to pay for it.
