In response to Judge, I will say this ...

(yes this is slightly the right board, since it has affected the 2020 season and now has potential to affect the 2021 season).
I believe one of the largest issues in our nation currently is simply trust, morals, and doing what is right.
- You can have your own opinion in America. (Unless you get cancelled if if differs from someone else).
- You can't have your own facts. But what are the FACTS? Who can we trust? The President of the free world just said that "Over 350 million Americans have already been vaccinated." There aren't 350 million Americans. (Maybe this is how we counted votes).
- We are seeing places that are going to require Vaccination I.D. to enter (gyms, restaurants, soon to be places of work {not the border however}). This is preference. I don't imagine its good for business, but then again shutting down due to a COVID outbreak isn't either. (What's wrong with requesting voter I.D.?)
- The vaccine is not FDA approved. I know this takes time. But have you seen what actually is FDA approved in your food? Go check it out (wait until you have an empty stomach).
My point is, the hand we have been dealt is what it is...it's deuce/nine off-suit with nothing but paint on the flop. But we first need to be civil. Being vaccinated doesn't give cause to treat others as ignorant or dumb. It doesn't give entitlement to be inhumane. Being unvaccinated doesn't mean your "tough" and give cause to belittle the vaccinated. This is America.
Some facts we know: We know where it came from. We know its not going away anytime soon. We will all be asked to wear masks again. We know it kills. But until we all work together and respect opinions, the moral and mental mindset of this country is being manipulated and eroding.
Full disclosure: I personally tested negative last year for Covid ... then positive for antibodies. I am currently in the middle of the 2 doses for the vaccine. I don't know if I needed it, but will err on the side of the greater good, which is what we need to get back to. There is only one in control, and one with the power to heal.
*** I'm far more worried about what could potentially be transmitted to me in Charlotte come September. Georgia fans will be there.

We need more reasonable like you who do not "bad mouth" the other side and are willing to have an open discussion. Many of those who are vaccinated (I am - my wife gave me no choice), and those who are not, are VERY good people and both sides have reasonable arguments. Let's "listen" and come together as a country.

You've made several good points, and articulated them splendidly. I'm sure many here agree with your comments about working together and respecting opinions. On the other hand, there are some who are incapable of doing that. They insist on being divisive, combative, and intolerant. Their thoughts are clouded by fear, other emotions, and politics. In their minds, their sources are better than everyone else's. Their understanding of science is better than everyone else's. It is inconceivable to them that they could possibly be wrong on the facts.
As I see it, whether we are talking about Corona, or another highly-debated topic, it always comes down to which sources an individual trusts, and that is frequently dependent on political leanings. The political left vs. right frame of mind that many individuals have taints nearly every issue, stands in the way of achieving compromise, and is a big threat to keeping any level of civility in our society in my view.

Swap Galileo with antivaxer Pope with fauci Jesuates with vaccinated people Church with mainstream media Roman inquisition with tigernet house arrest can stay because we all probably going to end up quarantined again at some point.
Galileo's championing of Copernican heliocentrism (Earth rotating daily and revolving around the sun) was met with opposition from within the Catholic Church and from some astronomers. The matter was investigated by the Roman Inquisition in 1615, which concluded that heliocentrism was foolish, absurd, and heretical since it contradicted Holy Scripture.[9][10][11]
Galileo later defended his views in Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems (1632), which appeared to attack Pope Urban VIII and thus alienated both the Pope and the Jesuits, who had both supported Galileo up until this point.[9] He was tried by the Inquisition, found "vehemently suspect of heresy", and forced to recant. He spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

I'm vaccinated!

But I couldn't care less if my neighbor is. Well I care about their well being, but other than that, it is their choice weather or not they get vaccinated. This notion that the unvaxxed are spreading the disease and causing varients is nonsense. Almost all varients are coming from other countries. And if you can still get sick, I'm sure you can still spread the virus. So it all comes down to this. If the vaccine works, then take it and don't worry about what your neighbor does. If it doesn't work, then why push it?

Very well said. Calmest statement I’ve seen yet! I see things from both sides on this that I agree with. We don’t have far to go here, to be on the same page.

Part of the problem is terminology. We are using the wrong terminology. It is not a covid vaccine. It is a shot.
The measles and mumps are vaccines. You will not get it measles for decades. You already see "vaccinated" people getting covid. This will be an issue every year like the flu shots for years to come.

DC and the media. Media is a valuable tool for spreading propaganda for the elitists on both sides who are calling the shots.

I’m an old school GOP elitist/globalist. Love me some McCain, Romney, Flake, he’ll even a little Liz Chaney….. And I’m serious.
Screw the tea baggers and populists that have ruined everything for me.
