Lebron James and Dwayne Wade are incredible athletes; Lebron is one of the most spectacular basketball players of all time. But the whole team is so geared to getting the ball in their hands and then watching while they perform, I think it hurts them in the long run. I just watched the final quarter, and Wade and Lebron forced up some horrible shots rather than working as a team to get a good shot for somebody. It winds up costing them, just like bad shots cost college and high school teams.
I even heard one of the Lakers players talking earlier about how the Spurs have had 3 different people lead them in scoring, as an example of how effective selfless, team oriented play can be.
