but I thought "The Heart of the Matter" and "New York Minute" were better songs.

And, my absolute favorite song by Don Henley is his scathing editorial of the media, "Dirty Laundry". And, I have been known to refer to his song, "Garden of Allah", in my Bible study lessons where he tells the story of Satan showing up in Hollywood and seeing that he is no longer needed.

I do not know the connection with the Clemson coaches.

Don Henley may be one of the best observes and commentators on American culture. He has some great lyrics.

Call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye.

I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ###.

Sometimes he comes across as a grumpy old man, but his voice and his scathing lyrical commentary are one of a kind.

End of the Innocence was the track for that album. More great commentary in that one:
