I thought NEXT YEAR was our year?

Our offense will be 7-10pts per game better, with a veteran o-line and another year of maturity for our skill players and QB, as well as a stud RB coming in.
We lose Mack Island, Shaq and probably Kearse on defense, which will be a huge hit...but, BV has proven he just plugs guys in...across the board, we are pretty young on defense.
Is there any reason to believe we won't be better next year?

Does anyone know if BV actually wants to be a head coach? I think he enjoys coaching defense too much.

he is and makes a lot of money doing what he does. I don't believe he wants the headache of having his own program.

I doubt BV goes anywhere while his kid is still at Daniel.

And is actually a pretty dog gone good football player there. My guess is, if he's going to jump ship (assuming Jake doens't come to Clemson) it's when Jake graduates.

I've yet to see a quote from Venables entertaining the idea of becoming a head coach. He is outstanding at his current job and is compensated very well. He is a part of what could be a run of winning at Clemson. I just don't get why so many assume that success as a coordinator automatically means the coach is working the phones for a HC job.

He's not a guy who's just jumping from job to job waiting to find the right HC vacancy. I think as long as he has something to build on at Clemson, he's going to stay.

think he "needs" that next step. I hope he's the kinda guy that just wants to be the best at what he doesn, ie, Bud Foster.

Its like I have always said, there are teams I will talk about and teams I will put my money on. This year is one of the latter teams.

I am not sure. We get better on the OL, but on D we may lose Lawson, Kearse, and Alexander. I still think we will better next year as well though. We will be stacked if we stay healthy.
