a player we'd recruit. Yeah Kirkland, Hammond, Wolfford, Lott, McDaniel, Hatcher, Brewster, Terry Allen, Tracy Johnson and Keith Jennings, who'd want those scrubs lol. I think Mr Switzer was a bit bitter by the defensive beat down. Watching the game on youtube.

I remember Barry Switzer got arrested for trying to carry a loaded .38 onto a plane in Dallas-Fort Worth, so I think that is all you need to know.
And besides, switzer recruited thugs, so his comment was probably not that far from the truth.

Barry Switzer IS a thug ...

I was a Dallas Cowboys fan my entire life, until they hired Barry Switzer. This on top of the string of personnel decisions that brought in the Hollywood Henderson's, Michael Irving's, etc and the disaster that was Jerry Jones' ownership, was the last straw.

Oklahoma Sooners 1984-1985The New York Mets offered Aikman a contract out of high school, but instead of playing baseball he chose to pursue football and attended the University of Oklahoma under head coach Barry Switzer.[4]
In 1985, his first season as a collegiate starter,[4] Aikman led the Sooners to wins over Minnesota, Kansas State, and #17 Texas in the Red River Shootout before hosting the Miami Hurricanes and his future head coach Jimmy Johnson.
On October 19, Miami's Jerome Brown broke through the offensive lines, sacked Aikman on the Sooner 29-yard line and broke Aikman's ankle. Aikman, who had been six of eight passing for 131 yards, would be lost for the season. Switzer and offensive coordinator Jim Donnan were forced to switch back to the wishbone offense under freshman quarterback Jamelle Holieway. The team went on to win the 1985 National Championship by beating Penn State in the 1986 Orange Bowl.[5][6] With Holieway established as the starting quarterback at OU, Aikman decided to transfer to UCLA.[7]

differently.
Crazy, Stupid and Dumb have become interchangeable in this saying over time.
Seemingly foolish but actually very shrewd and cunning. For example, "You think Bob was crazy to turn it down?" "He's crazy like a fox, because they've now doubled their offer." This usage gained currency when humorist S.J. Perelman used it as the title of a book (1944). [Early 1900s]

1hr20mins of that video during lunch and I swear I dont see how Clemson won that game. The OU defense is killing the Clemson offense. I remember watching that game as a kid and I know Clemson wins, but wow, total domination by OU so far in the part I've seen.

I thought we won that game by a whole lot bigger score, but I remember how in an interview, Switzer berated our program and said we could never be though of as a great program like OK. That was right before we whipped that butt. Anyway, it was a great game, and we showed a lot of doubters that we were a great team. Great game, and thanks for the linc.
