don't see the Dawgs getting good enough play from the QB position to win this game. Hat Bennett will be scrambling for his undersized life most of this game, I do believe.
Meanwhile, Bama has an athletic QB, and some burners at the wideout position to make life miserable once again for the Dawg D.
Leonard's Loser, in a not close game, GEORGIA!
Satan may not even give Kirby a CHANCE to Kirby this time around.

Is Bennett really a better QB than Daniels?

Haven't kept up with the whys and what nots of the QB situation now.
I still think Daniels is a pretty good QB. I'd be OK with him coming in Tua style and saving the day.
That would be the only condition where I'd be happy with a UGA win. Im a JT fan.

this is the same school that had Justin Fields riding the pine behind Jake Fromm State Farm. I seem to remember Fields turning out to be fairly decent once he Portal Pottyed his way out of there.

I agree. My only question is will the Georgia defense show up? If we pick a weakness from that side of the ball, it is definitely the secondary. Does Alabama run Bryce Young more? Georgia’s defense (when they are full throttle) reminds me of the 2016 Alabama Defense. Of course, Deshaun had to battle through that and he imposed his will on Bama. I remember him running for the sticks multiple times and seeing Saban pi##ed because they couldn’t stop that. I think Bryce will throw on the secondary to open up the running lanes. I believe him and Robinson need to combine for over 100 yards because I do expect Georgia to have a different approach. I think if Georgia tightens up it’s secondary, there may be a problem since Georgia is tough to run on. But I think Alabama is more balanced than Georgia on offense.

It is very hard to beat a good team twice in the same year. This game will be an exception. Tide Rolls. Dawgs tuck their tails and hide.

Yeah, I totally agree. I think in the end we have nothing to lose if bama wins again. I hope bama walks the dog on Georgia.

Bama had the right game plan for GAs defense. They ran tempo and it forced GA to either keep Davis on the field sucking wind or keep him on the sideline. Either way the advantage swings to Bama quickly.

I'm not so sure. I really thought Michigan's defense would shut GA down and that didn't happen. GA probably played their best game of the year against MI. If they play that well again and ALA has any letdown at all, anything could happen. I'm expecting a close game and perhaps this comes down to who has the final possession and how they execute.

Saban over Kirby (no surprise)
Jan 7, 2022, 6:31 PM
|
|
I see Bama as a the favorite due to QB position and Saban vs. Kirby.
Georgia has great h.s. football players and plenty of them giving UGA a huge recruiting advantage over Bama, Auburn and Clemson in-state. But this recruiting advantage dies when Kirby's Offense gets on the field and can't run the ball consistently. Kirby cannot coach Offense, but somehow he still does converting big UGA wins into 4th qtr defeats.
If Bama jumps out to a big lead, Kirby does not play well from behind. If UGA jumps out to a lead, Kirby will become conservative and take no chances while Saban and Bama retake the momentum.
Can Kirby keep his foot on the gas the whole game versus Bama for the 1st time in his life? Doubtful, but we'll find out on Monday.

If I was betting on the game with even odds, I would bet UGA. I am afraid they are due. Hope I am wrong.

It wasn't little Haynesworth G.Rockerfeller IV, or whatever his name is, that lost the game for Georgia. It was their best defense ever that gave up over 300 yards in one quarter and allowed Bryce Young to pick them apart. Bama doesn't have Metchie, but they probably will have someone step up, so I agree it might be a long night for UGA, but I suspect that the game will be much more competitive than the last one.
