After the Carolina series, we have four weeks in a row with two midweek games, all while starting conference play.

45 innings per week with our banged up pitching staff. Yikes… need some healthy pitchers sooner rather than later

As I stated yesterday, our scheduling sucks. We are wearing our players out with too many games, especially the pitchers. Its all about hitting as close to 40 wins as possible to make the playoffs.

Every team plays that many games and that is why losing games is no surprise.

YOU DO REALIZE EVERYONE PLAYS 56 GAMES AND THEY HAVE TO DO IT IN A CERTAIN TIMEFRAME. THE COOTS PLAYED 2 GAMES THIS WEEK IN SUB 40 DEGREE WEATHER. IMAGINE WHAT THE NORTHERN TEAMS ARE DEALING WITH. IT JUST IS THE WAY IT IS.

Oh, by the way Ollie, we play South Carolina but Carolina is not on our schedule this year. We should play the Heels every year.

Realize that they did this schedule like this early to try get guys more looks early and then later in year want guys more fresh for grueling post season play. Eb said it could backfire but schedules are made far in advance. They didn’t expect this many injuries especially this early.

Weird for sure…. At least we will have a full pitching staff available for anything going into the

Louisville
@ Florida State
@ Pitt series

Also while on scheduling anybody else notice Georgia Tech and Georgia only play one game this year (Truist Park)?

I think this is more of a Wes Johnson thing. He prefers to play weak noncon teams and primarily recuits out of the portal. Told 4 kids last year the weekend before signing day they didn't have a spot.
