does not win the starting position by Game 4 next year. Sad to say. DJ and his family are 1st class. And absolutely, T.E. shares most of the responsibility. DJ has been in Clemson and the system 21+ months.
Maybe we stumble through tonight.

I do not have inside info but I’d bet money DJ bought the hype that he was the greatest, heisman candidate, Dr Pepper man, 5 star, plus you throw Covid in there. I’m seeing a QB who has no familiarity with receivers. They aren’t on the same page on routes. They aren’t on the same page on 50:50 or back shoulders. DJ looks like he is at least 30 pounds overweight, clumsy, and slow footed. I’m guessing this year is his wake up call. He will realize his performance and games aren’t decided by potential, recruit rankings, and preseason hype. I think this year is his big wake up call. I’ll bet he comes back next year as a different QB. Just my way too early prediction.

with our offense requiring a mobile, semi-quick QB.... it blows my mind why we went after DJU in the first place. He is slow with his feet, reads and handoffs.

Compare his HS footage to now. It’s night and day. He’s fairly fleet afoot and weighs probably 30-40 pounds less than now. His footwork in the pocket is not “feet in cement” and plodding like now. He’s much quicker on scrambles. He’s gotten chubby and slow.

We have more issues offensively than our qb position. No adjustment at all from the transition from Trevor to DJ.

The play making ability of the best (or one of the best) QB and RB in program history potentially masked a lot of ills with offensive scheme, creativity, play calling, predictably, Oline talent, etc.

Thank goodness. Receivers were open as they have been all year. I don’t see Us pulling it out next week.
