I understand it’s set for the winners as they advance and the 2nd round games are bowls.
What about the teams that don’t advance?

How is that a bowl? Playing at Texas.

That’s not a bowl game, it’s an away playoff game.

You go home if you lose the 1st round game. No bowl!

I brought that up a couple of months ago. There is no outlet for a bowl if you lose. All the bowls will be announced today. At least the payout is guaranteed of $4 million per conference similar to a bowl and $3 million for expenses.

If they are doing that then its should be a bowl

Not a home game for the higher seed.
Granted I’d rather be in the playoffs but make it a bowl destination.

When it goes to 16 teams think they will use the bowls and no home games.

Each year bowls struggle to get enough teams

That qualify it seems. So unless they have reduced the number of bowls all they did was remove 4 quality teams from bowl games.
Seems to me they could have the 1st round games in a bowl. Be the reward it was meant to be on top of being in the playoffs.

First round playoff games count as bowl games for the losers.
The other bowl games are settled. Nowhere else for a 1st round playoff loser to go.

He’s taken the team to the CFP SEVEN TIMES! Only Alabama has more. Does he have to walk on water and part the Red Sea before some of you folks will appreciate him?

The lack of gratitude among fans like this is astounding. There are only two fanbases in all of college football that wouldn't be envious of our last 10 years. We've enjoyed unprecedented success on and off the field that no on can deny but I guess you don't have to appreciate it. Reminds me of Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka.
