Herbie just said on Mike and Mike

"You (teams playing U of L) better have 8, 9, or 10 days to prepare for Pertrino's sophisticated passing offense (traditionally).
Well guess what Herbie? It just happens that U of L has to play their toughest game on the road with a team that has 8 or 9 days to prepare for them.
He went on to mention that Venables was going to sellout on stopping the running ability of Jackson and how that will be interesting to watch.
Well again, Clemson just happens to have the front 7 to do that as well.

Lamar will feel like the "Oh No Bird"

when he runs into our Front 7.
The "Oh No Bird" looks like a Cardinal, but has 2" legs and 5" n*tz, and roosts in thorn bushes.
It screams "Oh, No!!!! Oh, No!!!!!" when it comes in to roost.

my take on Cardinals Team & QB based on FSU Game

Unstoppable IF our Tiger Team plays as bad as Noles did overall, and if they give up as Noles seemed to do.
Going to be the one of the very best teams Clemson has played in 5 years..IF Louieville plays lights out again like against FSU.
Hang on !

And all of this matters how much if we lose to GT?

Really compelling analysis there. IMO, UL doesn't come close to 2013 FSU. We could still lose, of course, but outside of Lamar nothing about them screams elite.

Like I always say when folks are ready to invite him to their daughters wedding bc they feel that ole Herb loves him some Clemson. He just jumped on the Clemson band wagon bc we have 5 straight winning seasons, and he jumped in the middle of our wagon 2 years ago and placed his loyalties on the best Clemson had to offer. Even tho we have won 3 straight with 2 not so pretty, he is now leaning on the girl that is looking really pretty at a distance. If we lose to louie, the Herb love affair will be over, he will be dating Louise

Did he happen to mention that they're going to have to stop DeShaun?

No, all focus is on Jackson and the Louisville O.
Not sure if Herbie is still sticking with us to win the NC after last week.
Seems he is in a hush, wait and see, then should we win he can go into the I told you so phase.

I just hope that job #1 for the Clemson d is to take away Jackson on the zone read. Make him give it to the rb every time. In the Syracuse and FSU games, it looked like their defenses crashed on the rb every time, leaving Jackson a wide open running lane where he could run for a huge play. We have to stop that first and foremost in my opinion. Make the rb beat us, who's not nearly as fast and athletic as Jackson.

Our beasts on the interior of D-Line it can/will shut down the RB, letting our DEs play QB keeper.

My biggest concern is our pass coverage....

I think we can hold their running game but our young DBs scare me at times. If our offense is clicking I think we should outscore them.

I wish we had a little more speed at DE. I think it really comes down to our O. Our D will do enough to win imo, even if we give up 31. Our O should be able outscore 31.
