Has anyone had any luck streaming games while tailgating?

If so, what service was it and what area were you in? Seems like the closer to the stadium you are the worse the service gets obviously.

Anyone ever used a hotspot or anything similar for it?

Yeah

Use my phone as a hotspot on the AT&T network and stream to a 12.9 inch iPad. No need for power or a satellite. We’re over at Brooks and don’t have any problems with bandwidth.

Yes I have AT&T wireless which has great service in Clemson. I use Youtubetv as my provider and i just mirror from my phone to my Tv. I've never lost a signal or any issues buffering. Use an inverter for power. Be sure to keep phone plugged in charging out of the sun cause it will use some juice.

Interesting. Seems like a lot of people who stream with no problem

Are in that general area. I may have to give it a shot during the Furman game and see how it goes.

Same as Geech72....Phone as hotspot using ESPN App through

your service provider. We are at Riggs, and service never has lagged (fingers crossed that it works this year)..

But, unlike Geech, I use a TV....with a small generator from

Harbor Freight.

Very nice. How big of a generator?

I’m thinking of a deep cell marine battery or just using an iPad but might should consider a generator.

Deep cycle battery is cheaper, you don’t have to carry gas and you won’t annoy everyone around you with the generator noise.

I can’t stand all the generators.

Hotspot YouTubeTv seems to work fine but I’m behind everyone else around me watching the same game, but it’s way behind here at the house as well.

For us, the “use the phone as a hotspot for your tv” never went great. We’ve had better luck streaming on a phone and using a hdmi adapter to connect directly to the tv. Screen mirror from there.

FWIW

Yes with Verizon hot spot and Spectrum App.***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?

Hit or miss with tmobile. But I do recommend

Getting a $15 hdmi cable for your phone and just plug it into your TV.
