I gave myself a new Bass boat as my mine was 24 years old.
Since then been to dammed busy to hit the water.
Right now have 100 bags of mulch to spread.
Being retired aint all it is cracked up to be.
I worked less when I had a job.

I know the feeling. Been retired a little over 2 years now and busier more now than ever.
I fished on the weekends when working but not now. There were times I might drop a line in a ditch just to see if something would bite.
There were times I loved to fish more than eat when I was hungry and I love to eat.
Oh well, maybe one day I will get back to dragging a Beetle Spin through the water or twitch a top water broke back rapala or even pitch some crickets.

Energy level and ability to do ?? for me is one thing a day.
No big deal I really enjoy sitting on my porch. Right now Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are stopping by.
I am doing OK, I am living the good life.

I hear ya, brother. I’ve been retired a little over 2 years and I don’t have time to do the things I want. I used to work 50-60 hours a week on average and I just don’t know how I had time to do that. I guess the answer is I didn’t do much of anything else. Now I play golf a couple of days a week and there are always projects around the house or just stuff like cutting the grass. Everyone else I know who is not retired yet fill my weekends. But I agree that I am living the good life and it’s everything I had hoped for (and more). Maybe that why I still don’t have any time…

I used to work 24/7 going from job to job.
It was mostly dangerous work but not physically demanding.
Now the work is more physical. I prefer doing all things myself as I don't like strangers on my land.
I did the lawn thing for decades, but when retired - vowed never to own a lawn mower as that is very boring.

after re-doing almost everything that could be redone outside has turned into a list of things that need redone inside......... I think I might just put the pontoon in the water - been sitting in the yard like Tus's ,,,, only older and dirtier.

Oh, I don’t work nearly as hard as I used to. And the stress is much less, if I stay outside and avoid the Mrs.

I doubt the mulch'll up and walk away if you decide to spend a cool early summer afternoon on a shakedown cruise here soon.
Spread 25 bags Monday morning. Booze cruise Monday evening.
Spread 25 bags Tuesday morning. Booze cruise Tuesday evening.
And so on.
You'll have it done in no time!
