Interesting. He was the one of the freshmen that got to play some at least. Every year we seem to have one freshman who leaves after one year. I guess that is the way of it these days.

well at least our staff can mine the portalnow without any post season game prep distractions

He played fewer than 30 minutes. Probably got sick of not getting any time. Hard to blame him.
Also another example for the folks saying "We have some good young talent." Hard to know if they never get on the court. And why would we think this staff will play young players? It never has before.

Well these kids run the AAU circuit and dominate against other all white catholic private schools and just think they're going to be dominant at the college level...that's not how it works. Bye!

Brownell recruited them. He trained them and coached them. Shade should exclusively be thrown in that direction.

Who could have seen this coming? Zero players on the roster from class of 2023. I remember when 0 recruits Brownell’s first season was a treated as a setback that required a decade of patience from the fan base.

I'll make a wild and crazy prediction. If he comes in and becomes a star, it was just that he has God given talent. If he's a bust, then CBB ruined him.

Can you find a single post supporting that? Brownell has combined decent recruiting from roughly 20-22 plus augmenting the team via the portal to have this relatively successful run. But there is a huge gap coming. No one from 2023. Only one recruit from 2024 saw meaningful minutes. And no one remaining gets six years of eligibility to bridge the gap. Gonna have to go over and above with the portal this year.
