"His time is over" was the cry from many here not long ago who believe Clemson is entitled to win every game. Winning a game is hard and every week 50% of teams loose.
If we go 8-4 the ignorant dirt peckers here will again have a field day as "they" deserve better. Few teams will go 8-4.
I often want to vomit as the kids who have no clue post.

But when you pay your head coach among the highest salaries in college football, and give him everything he needs in terms of assistant coaches and facilities and support, the following are not acceptable:
-Getting blown out by Duke and Georgia in consecutive season openers -Being 0-3 versus the SEC in 2024 -Being 0-5 in our last 5 games against AP top 5 teams -Hiring/promoting unqualified assistant coaches -Refusing to maximize NIL and transfer portal usage
To Dabo’s credit, he has fired some of the unqualified coaches, and he has made significant changes to his use of the portal and NIL. The early returns on our recruiting are very encouraging. But the proof will be in how we do the next few years. I’m excited. We all should be. But you can’t blame people for being upset about how things have gone the last few years. Much of what we witnessed was avoidable and is unacceptable.

We line up against great coaches also making millions. Winning a game is hard, not a given as to $$.

I have explained this to him many times to no avail. If winning were directly correlated to the coach’s salary everyone would be trying to pay the highest. It’s just not that simple. It’s really the opposite in most cases. The coach’s salary is determined based on past results. So is almost every other high paying salary in any business.

But Dabo is expected to win at a higher rate than just about everyone else. He has shown that he can, he is provided with advantages that most other coaches aren’t, and as a result he is paid a much higher salary than most.
I don’t think we should minimize the difficulty in winning, but we also shouldn’t be like Tommy Bowden and say that half of the teams each Saturday lose.
We probably aren’t going to win every game. I think most people realize that. But when we are clearly not ready to play and aren’t maximizing our talents, that’s a problem. Most will agree that the last few years have been underachieving years.

Sounds more like Brad Brownell against McNeese State and Morehead State than even the worst we’ve seen from Dabo’s teams in recent years.
But please go ahead and bash the most successful coach in Clemson history all while worshipping the ground that Brad walks on. Your posts reveal a level of jealousy and butthurt not seen by even the most hardcore coot trolls on here over the years.

Those are your expectations. Many of us hope for that but understand the difference between hope and expectation. The only person I place any expectations on is myself. I hope others do well but I don’t control their actions so having expectations of them is unrealistic.

The only problem with what you are saying is that YOU aren't the one paying him. The school is. Don't say anything about tax payer dollars because that's not paying him either.

First check out the rest of the $10M+ club and see how dabo stacks up. Seems more like that is just the cost of doing business for competitive programs. 3rd in pay and 7 in win %.
Second, dabo didn’t change, the rules did. Pay for play NIL is still against the rules. Revenue sharing leveled the playing field enough for Clemson’s culture to prove it is still the best in the country.

The losses you continually bring up are facts. Whether they are “unacceptable “ is opinion.

“Unacceptable” by definition is a matter of opinion. Lots of people on these boreds don’t agree with your opinions. Some on here will call one loss unacceptable. Some of us will do the best we can with what we get and understand that whether the results of what Dabo and the football team does is acceptable or not is not our call to make. And most of us won’t use any missteps along the way to create dissension and negativity toward the coach and program. But you do you.

If we go 9-4 that means we probably lost to the coots again. That will be the reason they are posting on this bored. Losing 3 out of 4 to Junior and the Coots- NOT GOOD and I will vomit!

As someone who is excessively and blindly optimistic, often to an unrealistic degree - I predict 12-0. That is impossibly hard, so my panties (yes I wear those as they are soft) will not knot up if we loose a game as that is college football. Many here riding the bandwagon or seeing the Tigers as a projection of themselves have no fun with any sports.

Many people don't realize that the results of a program aren't judged over a 2 year span. It's the past success and the future potential. They think winning 9-10 games is a bad season. Many programs have paid coaches and staff millions to win 5 games or less. Be thankful for what Clemson is able to do on a yearly basis. Dabo is the greatest coach in Clemson history and one of the greatest of all time. Clemson is getting a discount for what they pay him. He is worth double the amount because there's no replacement for him.
