Progressive.
Need to add a land acknowledgement statement on how the land was stolen from the Waccamaw and destroying the pavilions was great for equity.

C'mon. When you're on "the right side of history," you should be proclaiming it from the hilltops!

rides were shut down in order to yield to corporate development of the area. But then the 2008 recession hit and no development ever occurred. So the area was ruined for nothing.

the owners closed the Pavilion and the amusement park. The area was demolished in 2007 and the site has been mostly vacant and unused since.
It was a sad day for those of us who grew-up going to Myrtle Beach with our families. The Pavilion was a major part of our childhood.

I started going there a few times a summer when I was 17 years old around 1968-69 up to when I was probably 20-21 years old, not to long before they were about to ruin it all in that area...

Most of the rides have been moved to Broadway at the Beach, also owned by Burroughs & Chapin.
