What is really going on with them? Joe had 4 years to release them and didn’t. Trump promised he would and now he won’t. When Dems were in power Republicans wanted them released and Democrats wouldn’t release them. Now that Republicans are in power, Democrats want them released and Republicans won’t release them. Honestly, partisan politics laid aside, what the heck is going on?

the Epstein Files in their possession but is choosing not to.

This is from The Judge in his filing...

"The government is the logical party to make comprehensive disclosure to the public of The Epstein Files. By comparison, the instant grand jury motion appears to be a "diversion" from the breadth and scope of The Epstein Files in The Government's possession. The grand jury testimony is but a hearsay snippet of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged conduct. (Not a single victim was called to testify before the Epstein Grand Jury. In fact, the only witness in the Grand Jury was a law enforcement FBI agent who had no direct knowledge of the facts of the case and whose testimony is mostly hearsay.)

In February of 2025, the Government, as noted, was prepared to release their "Epstein Files" to the public. See DOJ press release. But then, on July 6th, 2025, the Government announced it would not make the files available to the public. See DOJ and FBI memo at 1 "It is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted."
