Earnhardt was such a talent and the greatest driver maybe all time, but this show is sad and reveals how sad his relationship was with his kids. Very interesting in so many ways, give it a watch if you haven’t

Grew up in a town near Kannapolis and was never an Earnhardt fan, but even when you disliked him, you still liked him. Strange how someone can be like that.

on campus. Announcers went off of the air and all we knew was that he had wrecked but they never mentioned how serious it was. I went over to Bracket Hall to work on an accounting project for an mba class and when I got back, my roommates told me that he had died. I was shocked.

I watched the first 2 episodes… thoroughly enjoyed them. Did not know when the other episodes were going to be released.
I wasn’t ever a Earnhardt fan, but I’ve always loved NASCAR.
Really good series!

Witch Teresa was a major factor in how the relationships evolved. She still won't let Jr. and his sister go to their father's grave.

Witch is an understatement. All she had to do was give Jr. 51% and say "Send my 49% to the bank every quarter. DEI would have been a dominant force in NASCAR. Haven't watched a race in 4 years.

This is Kerry talking about how he met Dale Jr and seeing his dad for the first time since he was little. It’s pretty crazy how Dale didn’t have anything to do with Kerry til he was a teenager. https://youtu.be/GVA_uk6KW8k

Your Dad sounds like me. I retired from the Navy in the early 90's and built a house in the country, all addresses were RR Box ***. In 1995 they said RR was going away and all roads had to be named, so for the last 30+ years I have lived on Earnhardt Dr. I tried to get 3 but was on the right side of the road so I got 8. Many years later Jr. made it work out.

After reading these posts I’m going to watch this. I was an Earnhardt fan since I 1st saw him race at Darlington in 1979. I had never heard of him until then. I do remember his wife being a witch and I’m sure she is much of the reason for his bad relationship with his kids. He’s equally responsible that he ALLOWED her to be a problem. I’m a woman and I would never let a man come between me and my kids. It’s such a bad look but unfortunately many lousy people do. No respect for them 😏

Loved Earnhardt. Watched episode one and looking forward to see the rest. I remember going to races and he could be 20 laps down but everyone watched him go by. Truly iconic.

I enjoyed the first two episodes and was excited for the rest but after my wife had an accident Tuesday afternoon with multiple rollovers, I'll probably have to wait a bit to watch the rest.

Thanks. For as bad as it was, we're thankful she's just badly bruised and sore. She said she felt like a NASCAR driver rolling about 40 yards.

It's great. NASCAR used to be cool. Anyway, it is really well done and I am enjoying it. I was never a big NASCAR fan, but the documentary series is great.

It was his own upbringing as a kid that caused all that. He had to work and grind for everything at a young age himself. It sucked to see some of it, but in the end they all came together. He built an empire for them

The last thing that went threw his mind was the wall at Daytona. People act like he was God. Good riddance. Don’t like his boy either.
