They were bringing in Tulane's Mensah regardless. That is why Murphy was pretty much asked you might better leave and Grayson Loftus transfered to Charlotte.

That quote from the write up indicates it
Sources have indicated the Blue Devils may have moved on from QB Maalik Murphy, who ended up at Oregon State, a cutthroat move after Murphy delivered one of the best seasons in recent Duke quarterback history -- and a further indication of where college football has arrived.

Call me an old fart, or whatever you want, but it's not the same game anymore, and the saddest part is, it never will be the same again.

I’m just glad we were around to see our 3 NCs won in the traditional era of college football.

It doesn't matter if you are an old fart or a young buck, you simply have to accept the NIL and enjoy the games which have not changed even one tiny bit. Football is football.

I understand your point. However, when you don’t care as much you don’t watch as much. That is what happened to me with the NFL and I’m kind of starting to feel the same way about college football.
It may go on to be just as popular or even more so. Time will tell. I’m just personally not as excited about it as I used to be.

No...its ruined the sport...I just shake my head at people who advocated for this BS...Especially as we were getting dismantled by a team with an unlimited pot of money (Texas). Its crazy these yuppies are ok with sacrificing their own fan hood for that...Then want Swinney fired when he cant beat a team who spends over $30m fielding a team.

bear." Question is, when does the bubble burst? Because it has to. Contrary to popular belief, the sky is NOT the limit. These millionaire (and yes, in some cases BILLIONAIRE) boosters will get tired of not getting a good return on their investment sooner, rather than later.

Has anyone provided any solid proof that these kids are getting this much? From what I’ve read it’s all estimates.

He may make a short term splash, but no way will he be able to have sustained success.
