It reminds me too much of the NC state mascot. I say stick to the PAW. What do you think?

and will forever be the Identity of Our beloved University, there is room for us to remember Our Roots, i.e. the TIGER designed by Phil Neel, a cartoon artist known MOST for creating the Auburn Tiger mascot, Aubie. Phil designed program covers for several schools, including Clemson, whose programs featured his work from 1959 to 1976.
Most of my Clemson gear will be adorned with the PAW . . . but, I’ll always have room for an Old School TIGER in the mix!

in a calendar used to be available you could buy. Google it. I had one years ago. They were available for lots of schools.

Ones like me. So I got rid of my jerseys years ago and used the money to buy lavender shirts.

Don’t go up north for a football game. Those folks all seem to wear jerseys to every game. Does not bother me either way but I’m personally too old to pull it off.

I wear orange shirts to all games except the military appreciation day game. But I do wear purple shorts with orange paws. They were the darker purple but they are getting older and starting to fade a little so I may have to retire them soon. I know MyfavOrange® will be disappointed when that happens.

Just about every school used that mascot head logo with the little beanie cap back in the day. Everyone from Cal to Texas to Auburn to Florida. Some marketing agency must have sold the heck out of that design in the 50's and 60's.

I have no idea why an animal would be wearing a little sailors hat.
Like you mentioned, it reminds me of nc state’s stupid looking wolf.
Plus - Notice it seems to be something Nike brought back as a money grab. And I don’t like Nike.

I like the paw much better. It’s unique to Clemson. Any school can have a regular tiger mascot

Not sure how the details work but because a true Paw is licensed, the company that is using an old tiger mascot may be saving money.

That was Clemson in my days as a student so I love the old. However the paw is now Clemson. Glad I don't have to choose one over the other.
