opportunity he may have had. After DJ decided to leave Clemson, he should have never come back to the ACC. Transferring from Oregon St to FSU was nothing more than a money grab. Every single ACC school has plenty of film on DJU and most have first hand experience against him. Like others have stated, I don’t see him making through the year as the starter for the noles. He would have been better off staying in Oregon or transferring to a mid major. They took the quick easy money and now the opportunity for the big NFL money is gone. It’s kind of sad but his father has put him in this situation.

I don't think there was ever any NFL money in his future. They took the best deal they could get knowing full well it was going to be the peak of his potential earnings. Can't blame them. Guys who are not going to make it in the NFL are all going to do this because their agents correctly advise them to do so. See also: Sam Hartman.

He wasn't going to the NFL anyway. His Dad isn't a factor.

And for one game on the schedule. DJU wants revenge against Dabo for yanking him in Charlotte after a horrible two years. The worst QB performance I have ever seen was his pathetic performance against South Carolina. The only way he is getting to the NFL is to buy a ticket.

Same said for our offensive line.

Don't think many would have turned that opportunity down.

If comes to FSU and they win a conference champ and he plays decent he maybe gets drafted. If he plays for Oregon State and wins 6 or 7 games and they really don't make any noise (b/c coach left) then he definitely doesn't get drafted. It was worth the risk. Who would've known they'd lose those first two games though.. now its cemented. He needs to switch to tight end now before its too late. Logan Thomas 2.0

That assumes that neither DJ nor his father knew he was unfit for the NFL.

They stumbled into it, imo. I'm guessing greed has its rewards but I suspect they've spent money like it's burning a hole in their pockets.

He will probably be fit only for practice. He's great when he's not worried about someone hitting him.
