DJ, Cade, and Dabo

DJ has played bad. He is not a good college quarterback.
However, everyone that thinks Cade is the better choice, did y’all think Taison Phommachanh was the better choice last year? I bet you did, but Taison Phommachanh cant get off the bench on a bad Georgia Tech team with QB injuries.
Maybe, just maybe the coaches know who gives us the best chance to win.

Phommachanh is not Cade Klubnik. Cade broke multiple records in the state of TX in HS, and that’s saying a lot in TX. If Cade were given multiple drives with 1st team offense, I guarantee it would show differently than DJ with it.

The transition from high school to college is immense. Very few make it in their first year - this kid is still a freshman. Give him time.

Were the coaches saying TP would play last year?

Streeter seemed to think Cade would play this year. Maybe that was before he realized what plays he would be calling. Or before he knew what personnel decisions he would be making.

Great point. Who is responsible for developing, or should I say, lack of developing quality quarterbacks for Clemson. His name is Brandon Streeter. He needs to be fired tomorrow. He is terrible.

Do you believe Cade is worse than 8/29 99 yards? Let's hear it...

Dabo replaced Cole Stoudt with Deshaun. Dabo replaced KB with Trevor. The difference then compared to now is that Deshaun and Trevor split snaps every game, even in crucial moments, before Dabo made them the starter.
Dabo hasn't done that with Cade though. My only guess is that Cade is not Deshaun or Trevor. Instead, and this might hurt to hear, Cade is much closer to Hunter Johnson, who was also a 5 star recruit, then he is to Deshaun or Trevor. Maybe he's just not ready. He looked the part against Georgia Tech. But he has really struggled ever since. It's possible that he's just not that guy.

If that is the case and DJ follows his 3 year plan, the competition between Cade and Vizzinna might be interesting to watch.

Has he been given the opportunity to actually succeed though? Most times he’s given a drive, then pulled. Tough to get into a rhythm that way, while with DJ, we have to spend an entire quarter throwing to the flats and WR screens just to get him enough confidence to try an intermediate pass. Seems one is being coddled, while the other has a quick hook.
