Difference between NCST & Clemson

These State hitters have made adjustments to Tittsworth & they just continue to put the ball in play in critical situations while Clemson hitters continue to swing at a slider that isn’t even in the strike zone. Their is no comparison how much better the State hitters are from top to bottom than Clemson. Hate to say it but all you have to do is watch these 2 teams.

With runners in scoring position, less than 2 outs and we cannot even get a ground ball. Geez guys!!

NCSU doesn’t stand there with the bat on their shoulder until they’re down 0-2. That’s one difference that I’ve noticed

It's not the standing there. Tonight it's the fact that NC State came out and said you are not getting fastballs for strikes. Clemson cannot not hit the offspeed pitches. Tigers have feasted on fastballs all season. Teams with solid pitchers are not gonna give them many to hit. Pretty simple scouting report. I know "but they have won 36 games"..... blah blah. This team in its current state is about lose (counting this series6 or 7 of the next 8. Mark it down. The hitting approach has to change or this season isn't going to end well. Tonight the starting pitcher was good enough.

Spot on … we don’t make adjustments at all , a perfect example is by now you know you are getting off speed bc we haven’t proven to be able to hit it… so what do we do, watch first pitch fastball and that’s the only one we see … seems like every count with guys on is 0-2 1-2 jump on the #### fastball like what are you waiting to see , surely not offspeed bc we can’t hit it .

Tonight would have been a good night to have Bisetta in RF and McLaddie at 3B. Stack the deck with LH to counter the RH...
