Dabo culture is not enough to get the players that we want and even want us!! I believe we are special place and why would a player blah, blah….But we whiff on two needy positions- RB and DL because we dont have enough money and play in the acc and have not had a significant win against the SEC elite or last year mediocre competition. We barely beat SMU!! These things matter money or not and really do without money. Dabo’s choice hiring buried this program and missing out on big time recruits- we are digging out.

I tend to agree as well. I hate to say it, but i can't help but thinking Dabos refusal to bench DJ contributed as well. I dont want to put down DJ, but his inability to perform as needed, and Sabo refusing to bench him, seemed to have contributed to some asked we are just now getting behind us.
A strong season this year should do a lot.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Wes Goodman, and Streeter coordinator hires. He has corrected those hires, and we will move forward with good things happening for our FB program with Tom Allen and Matt Luke. Go Tigers!!!

Funny thing is Dabo continues to strike out on:
Solid hires
Elite recruits
Beating the coots, he lost the last 2out3 yrs to Beamer
Beating SEC teams, lost the last 3 games
Is that really worth $11.5m🤷♂️

I'm refering to the final team rankings... which is what the coach should be evaluated on. This year should be a top 5 finish. After this year, there is a big talent drop.

About an entitled of a post one can make. You aren’t entitled to wins. Dabo gave coaches positions because they had earned it. Venables was going to make Goodwin his DC. The guy had earned it, regardless if you agree or not. Dabo has since put coaches in this positions that will succeed. Clemson doesn’t have the money those schools have thinking they do is just crazy.

That is just a ridiculous. The fact is we did beat SMU last year and they were a very good team. We have not played a game this year so nothing counts yet, but we are projected to be at least a Top 10 team and a Playoff team again this year. There has never been and there never will be a school that gets every recruit they want, but if our commits sign when the time comes, it will be a really good year.

We’re having a great recruiting year (Top 10) and next year is shaping up good as well. We have our fill of good recruits. We can’t expect to land every big fish we set our sights on when our coffers are full (aka Fitzgerald ) Recruits nowadays want to play, not stand in line waiting their turn. Not while NIL money is being thrown at them from a lot of other schools.

We ARE doing better. Not denying that. But this team this year has to do it!! ESEcPN has been spinning our program and we became easy to spin against Dabo before Luke, Allen and Riley came in. We should not be losing to the coots and the Redbirds in our own stadium!! That was on our defense…. So last weak piece gone! . But there is a perception that it’s going to take time to overcome- if we are going to outrecruit money heavy schools. However… if the rumor of 5 mil is true about BPW and A&M then they can have that!!!

In our prime we hovered around 11 in recruiting rankings. Thats about where we are headed for this class. Some of yall seem to think we have always recruited top 5.
This difference is NIL. There was no NIL back then and we aren’t able to compete in that space. So Getting a DW4, TL16, Dexter Lawrence, Christian Wilkins, Tee Higgins, etc aren’t going happen too often anymore.
This isn’t because Dabo has lost it. It’s because we don’t swing a BIG stick in the NIL space.
