Dabo and "The Gathering."

Not sure how and if the ACC's "field/court storming" will work. What if Dabo recorded a message which replaces the current "Wait to enter the field" close to the end of each home game:
"I ask all the fans to wait and allow both teams and coaches to meet each other and shake hands and then exit the playing field before our "Meeting at the PAW." The players from both teams want to congratulate and show their respect each others. Thank you."
Would this work?...thoughts...
Ps: Sure there are many other statements you guys can come up with...mine may be a bit lame.

Seems like it should have a countdown clock of maybe 7 - 10 minutes which seems reasonable and something people can monitor

We have like a 60-90second clock, have for years. Doesn’t really do anything. We just need to budget accordingly for the fines, because they’re coming

It really should not be Dabo's job or worry IMO!

I realize that Dabo shouldn't have to be the voice of "reason" for waiting for the Gathering at the Paw, but who has more gravitas (blast from the past word), Dabo or some guy with a Mr. Microphone in his hands over the stadium audio system?

I think they will come up with some way to "add to" the tradition.

The simplest, but not necessarily the best, way I can think of is to sing a song. Blast it over the PA as soon as the clock hits zero. Have the cheerleaders leading the crowd in singing. (I'm thinkinking of WVU and all the tans singing "Almost Heaven" at the end of every game.
1. We sing the song. 2. We gather at the Paw.
There may be something better than singing a song. Maybe honoring a veteran and them having him lead the gathering. I'm confident Neff and his staff can come up with something more than just an announcement asking the crowd to remain in the stands for a minute or two.

It's pretty simple. Announce that the gathering will take place after the visiting team (and any home team players who want to get out) have had a chance to leave the field - maybe 2-3 minutes, and that anybody who enters early is subject to arrest. Enforce that a few times - don't have to get everybody but a few arrests will set the tone.
I sit in section D where everybody lines up to go out the gate onto the field, so I know there are a few controllable points of access to get to the field. Most games, it's a pretty orderly process - but a big emotional win can lead to people jumping the wall. A threat of some sort of negative consequences, I believe, would put an end to it.
