There's not enough seats in all of Ga. to hold another matchup of our state rival in the Chic-Fi-La bowl.

Gamecocks won't fall to the peach bowl. Probably Capital One or possibly Cotton depending on the SECCG outcome. Personally I want Jerryworld, we've never been to Dallas and talks are the Outback and Cotton will switch picks this year. Clem will prob go to the Orange Bowl anyway.

So you don't think

the Cotton Bowl, the Outback Bowl, or the Capital One Bowl, would take teams like Missouri, Auburn, Texas A & M and LSU ahead of South Carolina?
I think it is entirely feasible that $CU could fall as far as the Peach Bowl.

It'll be Cap One or Cotton, depending on who wins the SECCG. A&M is going to the CFA Bowl, LSU to the Outback. Also, Bowls can't take A&M ahead of SC. You have to be within one win to jump. LSU could, but their QB is out, so not as attractive.

I don't think the Peach would be interested in a rematch, though.

I don't believe they will ever rematch in a bowl game, unless for the ultra-unlikelihood that it's for a National Championship.

The best rivalry games are about the year-long bragging rights. A rematch would just feel strange.

Absolutely no way this happens.
Clemson is going to the Orange Bowl unless Duke beats FSU. I thought for a while that USC would go to the Chickfila and play Duke but theres a lot of talk about them going to the Cotton if the Cap 1 passes and takes the SECCG loser.
There was a chance for a rematch last year and nobody was interested in it-both schools and the bowl.

I don't know that the Coots fall that low. CFA gets 2nd pick in the ACC, but like 4th or 5th for the SEC. My guess is the coots go to Cap 1 or Outback. I've also heard Cotton, but they seem to like SEC West. The coots have gone to Capital 1 and Outback multiple times in the past few years, so those bowls have a double eged sword. They know that the coots travel, but there also is the fear that their fans wouldn't want to go Orlando or Tampa since they have been so much recently. If that happens, they may fall to the Chick Fil A, but if everything goes as planned this weekend, I expect us to be in the Orange

I'd take this matchup over ALA in the Orange Bowl...
Dec 6, 2013, 11:03 AM

...I think Clemson would get killed in a slugfest with Bama. I'm more concerned with Clemson getting embarrassed than the BCS money.
The Coots on the other hand have it coming to 'em. I'd like to see Dabo, Chad, Brent, Hobby, Tajh, Sammy, Hot Rod, Anthony, Jarret, et al, get another shot at those dirtpeckers.

Either way I am happy. I believe we can beat Alabama if the coaches have them ready. We have the talent but I think we get let down by play calling sometimes. The way I look at is if you want to program to move forward then you have to have the Alabama's, LSU's, and other perennial power houses on the schedule or in a bowl game. USC is just a flash in the pan and will be back to bottom feeding within a couple of years.
