Lincoln Riley is the most overrated head coach in college football history. Good QB's. Horrible teams. Always loses the big game. But I think the sham is just about up as he's not going to get another great opportunity after this.

He should call Jeff Scott and see if he would help him for the rest of this season. It would allow him to do a proper search at the end of the year.

More on the QB from what I have seen. They don’t have one. Not sure whose fault that is, but firing the OC will take a little heat off the head coach.

CBV had his QB but Oregon bought Dylan after last season. He is doing pretty good for Oregon, but I am sure that is a prime example of tampering.

Jeff would be a good hire but the Okie fans would raise Holy hades if that happened. The fans and Norman media are not big fans of BV right now. They were not happy with the hire of the OC he just fired. They want a current big name proven OC.
THIS move by BV to get an experienced
OC will be the biggest hire he ever makes. His job is riding on this hire. He may be given 2 years to let the new OC turn it around. If there is no improvement in 2025, he is out but will get that 40 million.
It is going to be hard to get a great OC to come to a program where the pressure is going to be so great to save the HC's job. If HC is fired after OC has only been there a year, chances are the OC is also fired.
Who wants that job? Certainly not Jeff Scott.
