Clemson gets invited to the college football playoffs on a regular basis, we host baseball regionals yearly, and have even been to March Madness the last 2 seasons. That sounds like an upper echelon SEC program to me.

back then , we had an argument because we were the Elite . no team in the SeC could match us .

No we haven’t been “elite” in any of those seasons, saying that’s top 10, but we are still clearly one of the more consistent winning programs in the country.
Eventually we will be in the SEC or Big 10. We will continue to be one of the most accomplished football programs in the country if Dabo still has a say.
Are you even aware that Dabo Swinney, while currently obviously one of the most accomplished coaches in the game today, is on a clear pace to be one of the top coaches of all time?

If Clemson and the SEC decided they wanted to join, that's it. We don't have to beat the SEC to join the SEC. We don't have to be one of their best X number of teams to be worthy of joining their conference. We just have to be the right addition for the conference. And that's a no-brainer on many fronts...brand, commitment, overall success, recent success, stadium size, attendance, viewership, location, culture. There are a lot of reasons the SEC would extend and offer and a lot of reasons Clemson would say yes.
Here's Oklahoma and Texas's performances against the SEC from 2016 until 2021 (when they were officially invited). Is this "proving it"?:

Let's see how we would do with the same SEC money and a few years recruiting in the SEC and the playing field leveled. Also a coach that FINALLY changed and accepted the use of the transfer portal.

Nobody had their real personnel in that Bowl game in 2022. Lots of opt outs for both sides. Our back-ups way down the depth chart was never up to par. That game was just a fancy practice scrimmage.

Agree. It is the BEST fit of the power 2. It is our region-the South which means great rivalries and close travel on very many of these teams. No matter what happens we ALL know conferences as we know them are dinosaurs. Best 64. Our competition steps up no matter what unless Clemson remains in a mediocre ACC and that would be a mistake. Go Tigers
