Wow I didn’t know that only 17000 people lived in Clemson. That’s seems way to low. It is mind blowing that our football stadium can hold 4.5 times the amount of residents it has. This is an interesting infographic. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty sure when I was in college, it was always said that Clemson became the largest populous 'Town' in SC during home games. I think the semantics were Town vs City.

Yea I can see that notion being true. Most Clemson fans live in the surrounding areas of Clemson, like Gaffney, Spartanburg, Greenville or anywhere in the upstate. So when it’s football season most of the Clemson fans come from out of town. I live in Greenville. So me and my dad sometimes drive up to Clemson for football and basketball games there. It’s about a 45 min drive. I love going to football games. Even the pre game stuff is fun too. I love seeing the band play in the amphitheater and then march their way to the stadium. It’s so exhilarating walking down the street with the band marching towards the stadium. It just gives you goose bumps.

There is only one college town whose population rises by a higher percentage than Clemson’s during a home football game. That would be Happy Valley, PA.
