Don't know what was behind his remarks but I interpreted it to suggest that the student enrollment and media market for Clemson is significantly smaller than a number of the schools that are traditionally considered top dogs. Having had two sons who came to Clemson for football, I don't believe he has any animosity toward Dabo and the Tigers...

As this is what we are a smaller ratings team. We have only become a nation university over the last 10+ years. These other schools have been for 50+ years. Clemson will continue to gain popularity nationally, but that takes time. Also, do you want a bunch of rich alumni in LA telling Dabo how to do his job? That’s what these other schools get.
