Clemson admissions vs degree program

Clemson admission standards are pretty tough nowadays. Anyone have any suggestions on which undergraduate degree programs are currently the easiest to be accepted into? When I was at Clemson, Textile Management was a good option, but it looks like that program finally bit the dust.
I was thinking maybe AgMech? Turfgrass? Forestry?

Go with a major that will help you get a job. Things have changed since I was an undergraduate so I have no idea . Forestry school was unbelievably tough for me. Far to many afternoon labs. Environmental jobs are interesting but not a high paying field. Computer science and graphics are very popular now. I read recently that the packaging science degree was in high demand. Good luck

Yes sir, growing grass is a whole lot tougher to get to grow than most would think. Weeds are easy, not so much for good grass. I have actually told my wife that we needed to take a How To, grow grass course before we waste anymore money on expensive grass seeds. I have sent soil samples to Clemson twice, and both times they said lime, I put down the type and the amount what they said to use two different times, and I can't find a blade of bermudagrass in my yard after planting it spring of 2016 and 2017. I'm done, i'll cut what ever comes up on it's own every year, and fight off the dandelions and crabgrass the best I can. But I will listen to not so expensive suggestions!!!

Good in math? Try Physics. If you find you don't like it, It's a great starter if you decide to switch to another hard science, engineering or computer science.

So you're more worried about which program you can get into rather than what program will yield a good paying career or a career that you will enjoy? Sounds like you need to reflect a little more before you pay tens of thousands of dollars for a degree just because it says Clemson on the front.

The problem is Getting in, it's very competitive now plus they have you pick a program area and certain ones are super selective. If you can pick an area that isn't as competitive you can change major later.

1.). Asking for a relative trying to get into Clemson with just average grades and an average SAT score.
2.). My objective is not to find him a career, but to help him apply to a major that gives him the best chance of being accepted into Clemson with his average student credentials.

Good luck to your relative, but if they are instate and average they are just going to get Bridged anyways, that's all they are doing to all the local kids now with the crazy application numbers. Most the easley/liberty/pickens kids that weren't top 5 in the class got bridged this year.

Bridge rather than paying Clemson's freight for the non-elective core courses. You can pay Clemson 6,000 bucks for English 101, or you can pay Tri County about a tenth of that.

The admission office will look closely at SAT scores, GPA compared to the curriculum taken, and class rank.
With over 25,000 applications and only about 3,500 spaces available for a new class of Freshmen, the admissions office has the luxury of being selective.
The bridge program may be an option, but average SAT's and grades won't get you in to Clemson.

Sounds like you're just trying to get a kid in and have them change majors. I graduated in 2012 and I think Parks Recreation and Tourism Management was an easy goal. Sociology should be on the easier side of admissions too.
Architecture is supposedly the hardest likely followed by engineering and computer science.
You can always save some money and get one year of tech school and transfer in but you'll have to plan that out accordingly with admissions.

Apply for teaching degree the demand for good teachers is very high and supply low. Not many people today applying for admission to teach. Also can get financial assistance for this program

You can transfer majors within a college, but I'm not sure about into other colleges.
Given the classes taken, it isn't easy to transfer into engineering without spending an extra year.

I have it on good authority the best route to admission is to apply to a small program without many applicants (packaging science). Then one can change their major once they're in.

If you think they may transfer to a science or engineering program....the geology program is small and might be easier to get into. They get few who pick it straight out of high school.....most transfer to it.
