I got a room at some dump a block or two away from the venue. My flaky buddy that said we could crash at his pad ghosted me recently. Plus he lives in Mills River, so it's a little bit of a haul.
Last time, SarahAdidas and I went, we stayed across the river and nearly died trying to make it home. Wife sat down in the interstate median and started drunk-crying. It was a real 'ish show.
... no wait, that was in Savannah. or Augusta. I don't even remember. too many 'ish show concerts with the old lady, they all start to run together.
I hope she's ready to babysit me on a spiritual journey, because I plan on being a fun-guy.

Joonyer's wife obtained her aunt's condo since they've already gone back to Florida for winter. Pretty sure it's in or near downtown but I guess I'll find out Friday.

has rooms in the mid 200's. It's only a few short blocks from the venue and right across the street from my favorite bar, The Yacht Club. Breweries are all around it. All other hotels that are even remotely close to walking distance are 500-600.
That's where the Adidas clan will be for Saturday night. I think we're going to drive up early Sat'day morning.

because of Mrs. I'm, it is her birthday trip. One of my all-time favorites made the cut, we'll be going to Early Girl at some point because I would kill a man that stood between me and their tomato gravy. Another place I'm anxious to try that is on the list is Little Chango. I'm all about the arepas, and reports are that theirs are excellent. Had arepas last night, as a matter of fact.
