Clemson pulls away in the 2nd half and wins 31-20.
Their WR will burn us a time or two but our DLINE will stuff the run and make Nussmeier uncomfortable most of the game as their offensive line struggles to communicate with crowd noise and lack of experience playing together.
Our offensive line is experienced as a unit. Our defensive line is experienced as a unit. That will ultimately be the difference.

I think winning a close game is better for us. A blowout turns into a boring game, fans leave the stadium and do not return, lose tv viewers, and game will be forgotten by week 2. A close exciting game keeps the fans engaged, Death Valley loud, more people tuning in on tv, and game goes to instant classic. 34-28 would be ideal. One score game with the real Tigers winning, then we need LSwho to start winning and go to the SEC championship game

Brian Kelly has lost all four season openers at LSU. This will be his fifth. They're a second tier SEC team. Surprised LSU hasn't canned him.

Yall are really looking at this thru orange tinted glasses. Our D Line has not stopped stopped the run in over a year now . LSU has been in load stadiums many times last year and really shored up their holes thru the portal . Dabo has been very good at preparing teams in openers either and this LSU team is just as talented as UGA last year.LSU has confidence they can run the ball right at us and they should . Talk is cheap and we haven’t shown we can stop the run . LSU is big, fast , and talented and will exploit our lack of depth on defense.

their whole team through the portal. They could be in disarray with all the newbies or be gangbusters. Kinda like FSU two years ago with all those portal hoppers. No one thought they were going to gel like they did either. But they ended up outstanding. Haven't heard a whole lot about their team and how they're doing but I can assure you they will be a tough out Saturday night. Their QB is seasoned and their RB is as well.
ITs all about our defense and to what level they have improved or not. New system for those guys as well. I expect some busts and a learning curve. I think its a shoot out and we've just gotta manage not making huge mistakes. 38-35 type game. Could go either way.

I hope you are right, but I don't get how some keep saying their OLine sucks. I know they lost 4, but I am sure the replacements are very talented. Just hope they are not playing as a cohesive OLine in first game.

I do hate Brian Kelly.
But a lot of this brings up memories of what y'all said for UGA and Duke. LSU is a good team that shouldn't be underestimated. I also don't know why we're so confident given the last couple seasons. We're good. But we haven't done well in ranked outings.
