Breakfast Tailgating

Am I on the only one that may enjoy the breakfast tailgate more than the “normal” tailgating? Here are my reasons.

1. A big breakfast at 9 or 10 means you can skip lunch.
2. We usually only do it once a year so we do it up big and I almost never eat much of a breakfast.
3. The crowds not too bad since it is earlier than most want to be out and about.
4. The weather seems better ( cooler and less rain) especially until November games start.
5. Seems easier to clean up since no big grills.

Wow, after reading this I realize I sound like a much much older man than I am. I do like the breakfast tailgating though.

I like them as well, as long as it is not related to a noon kickoff because, well, noon kickoffs).

We start most tailgates with breakfast unless it is a 7:30 or 8:00 game. For all other games I’m in my spot by 8-9 AM. Mrs Rhettfla makes banana bread or a breakfast casserole or both and we take a big Thermos of coffee with Bailey’s to use as creamer. I have venison summer sausage for an easy meat option. Our tailgate partners usually bring mimosa ingredients and some type of fresh fruit. If it’s a noon game that’s usually it. If it is a 3:00 or 5:00 game we follow up with some lunch and beer.

Early mornings in the parking lot are awesome especially on a cool October day with beautiful orange leaves on the trees. We have pictures from past years when we be almost alone in Lot 10 but bringing Chick fil A biscuits is easier.
