I thought someone said either Miami or SMU would have to lose 2 conference games due to our loss to a common opponent (Lou Ville) - one of the tiebreakers.

Being realistic, there's not much hope unless SMU or Miami loses 2 games.
SMU and Clemson Common Opponents
Louisville - SMU won, Tigers lost
Stanford - both won
FSU - both won
Pitt - SMU won, Tigers ?
UVA - Tigers won, SMU ?
Miami and Clemson Common Opponents
Louisville - Miami won, Tigers lost
FSU - both won
VT - Miami won, Tigers ?
WF - Tigers won, Miami ?
None of it matters unless the Tigers beat VT. Go Tigers!
